Santis & Steve Squitiro
Santis A. Squitiro started his roofing business in Bethpage New York in 1952. He moved his family to Florida in 1974, seeking warmer weather and a chance to work year round.
Steve Squitiro grew up in Bethpage, New York where he worked for his father while finishing high school. He attended college in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Steve moved to West Virginia in 1971 where he started his own roofing company. He met and then married Jeannette Riggleman in 1983.They have five children.
Santis M. Squitiro came to Florida in 1974 with his family. He graduated from Dunedin High School in 1978. He attended Tampa Technical Institute night classes while working for Acoma Roofing Company during the day. He met and then married Pamela Minerd in 1988. They have three children.
Steve moved to Florida in 1984. He teamed up with his father and bought Acoma Roofing’s first brand new lift bed/dump truck, a 1984 Chevy C70 that cost $29K. That truck served Acoma Roofing for 25 good years before being donated to charity.
In 1993, Santis and Steve retired their father and partnered up to form Acoma Roofing Inc. We have provided quality service for over 38,000 friends and neighbors since that time.
What sets us apart from other roofing companies in the area is that we have grown up in the industry. Santis and Steve have installed almost every roof system there is. We know this business from the inside out. We are committed to quality installation and customer service. This can be verified by our unblemished record with the BBB and the Pinellas County Licensing Board. Can you imagine being in business for over 5 decades and not have one complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau? In an industry rated third for consumer fraud, unreliability, and mistrust, that puts us head and shoulders above the competition. No other roofing company in Florida can make that claim.
Our business is family owned and operated. Our employees are part of that family. We have five employees that have been with our company for over 25 years. Some employees have enlisted their family members to join our team. We have provided health insurance to our employees since 1993. We offer a 401K retirement plan where we match our employee’s contributions. We truly care about the service we provide and about the men and woman who provide those services.
We offer free estimates and consultations to homeowners. We can let you know if your roof is in need of replacement or just a repair. We can offer many options in coverings, from top of the line roofing systems to low cost systems.
