A Few Fun Facts
Acoma Roofing started with 1 truck and 1 tar kettle and only two employees/owners, Father & Son, Santis & Steve Squitiro. They met in the Squitiro family’s house in the mornings to begin their work day with the truck and tar kettle parked behind the house on a dead end dirt road.
Our two longest employees (Kenneth Schweikle & Sione Maafu) have been with Acoma over 35 years.
Kenneth Schweikle named one of his sons, “Steven Santis Schweikle” after the owners of the company, Steve & Santis.
Always striving and proud to keep Acoma Roofing a “Family Business”, we now have sons of our crew members working for us along with Steve & Santis Squitiros’ sons, Max & Nicholas, who are in the Estimating department.

We choose Acoma Roofing to replace our original tile roof that was twenty four years old in January of 2021. Ryder O’ Brian, our salesman and contact person throughout the project, was very knowledgeable, personable, available, and professional . The project was a two step process - removal of the old tile, replacement of boards as needed, installing of new under lamented, Etc. And then installation of the new tile. Two separate crews were involved in the process. Both crews were on the job each day at 7:00 am and worked until after 5:00 pm . Before the crews departed every day they cleaned up the entire work area so well you could not tell they had been there during the day. The crew leaders on both crews were always in charge of the process and always available to answer questions we had along the way. I have never seen more hardworking people than the Acoma crews. We are very satisfied with our new beautiful tile roof and have had several people , just in the three weeks it has been completed, compliment the new roof. We live in the Bayou Club community in Pinellas Park, Fl. We did a lot of looking at roofs and talking with other residents in our development that had used Acoma and others before we chose Acoma. We had a very satisfying experience with Acoma throughout the entire project and recommend them to anyone that wants a new roof.
I was lucky enough to catch Ryder at a neighbors doing a quick repair on Super Bowl Sunday. I had been wanting to ask for a review of my roof as it's getting up there in age and I have seen Acoma work on a few roofs in my neighborhood. Ryder was very personable and more than willing to give it a once over. While up there I commented that I had a leak over my patio roof and Ryder quickly found the problem area, taking a few photos of some problems he saw and providing some great advice on how to move forward. I would definitely work with him in the future.
Acoma did a great job with our roof. They were in and out in two days and cleaned up the work area very well. I would highly recommend Acoma to friends and family.

I had a leak above my entryway, water was leaking through my soffits. I received 4 quotes from different roofing companies. Max from Acoma responded the fastest, sent me a quote in a timely manner as promised. Acoma roofing came through all the way with my roof repair. 2 other companies tried to push me into roof replacement, though I did not need one, another did not even look at my roof and just threw a "low ballpark figure" at me. The staff at Acoma is very professional, the roofers Kai and David did a great job and left the area clean when finished. They kept me up to date on the progress, such as if they had to leave for materials etc. I would definitely recommend Acoma roofing and I'm sure once I need a new roof they will be the first I call. The heavy downpours 2 days ago showed no leaks, a job well done. I'm very pleased with the company, from office staff to the roofers. I would recommend Acoma roofing.
After suffering some damage from Hurricane Irma, Acoma Roofing was the first company to get back to us with a quote. They were patient as we waited for our insurance adjuster to come out, and worked with us to adjust their quote to what was given to us. Both Steve and Ryder were extremely helpful and easy to work with, and Ken's team did an impeccable job on site. We highly recommend working with them for any roofing work you need done!
